1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to PuzzWord! These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Crowds Technologies LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a Washington Limited Liability Company located at 3217 Eastlake Ave East, Unit 205, Seattle, WA 98102.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the PuzzWord mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

PuzzWord is a multilingual word puzzle game available on iOS and Android platforms, currently supporting English, Spanish, French, Dutch, Russian, Ukrainian, with others planned for future updates.

Key features include:

Single-player and multiplayer (iOS only) gameplay
In-app purchases for dictionaries, boosters, and virtual currency (coins)
Integration with Game Center (iOS) and Google Play Games (Android)
Leaderboards and achievements
Daily puzzles and challenges
Cloud save functionality through Game Center and Google Play Games
Word definitions and images sourced from Wikipedia, Wiktionary, and Wikimedia Commons

3. Eligibility and Age Restrictions

3.1 Minimum Age

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18 years of age, you represent that you have obtained permission from your parent or legal guardian to use the App and that your parent or legal guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3.2 Parental Consent

Parents and legal guardians are responsible for monitoring and supervising their children's use of the App. If you are a parent or legal guardian and become aware that your child has provided us with information without your consent, please contact us at info@crowdstech.com.

4. User Accounts and Authentication

4.1 Third-Party Account Integration

The App does not maintain separate user accounts. Instead, authentication is provided through third-party services including:

Game Center (for iOS users)
Google Play Games (for Android users)
Firebase Authentication (for anonymous sign-in)

By using these authentication services, you agree to comply with their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your third-party accounts used to access the App. We are not responsible for any unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to maintain account security.

4.3 Account Information

We do not collect or store separate login credentials. Authentication is handled through third-party platform services as described in our Privacy Policy.

4.4 Data Storage and Cloud Saves

Important: We do not store your game data on our servers.

Local Storage:

All game-related data, including your progress, statistics, virtual currency (coins), and transaction history, is stored locally on your device. Your device serves as the primary and permanent storage location for all game data.

Cloud Backup (Optional Platform Feature):

iOS users: You may optionally enable cloud save backup through Game Center, which stores active game state and coin transaction ledger in your iCloud account
Android users: You may optionally enable cloud save backup through Google Play Games, which stores active game state and coin transaction ledger in your Google Drive

These cloud backup features are:

Managed entirely by Apple (Game Center/iCloud) or Google (Google Play Games/Google Drive)
Used solely to synchronize your active game progress and coin balance across multiple devices
Subject to the terms and conditions and privacy policies of Apple or Google, not ours
Not accessible to us; we do not have access to data stored in your iCloud or Google Drive

Our Server Data:

We only store non-game data on our servers, including:

Anonymous analytics (via Firebase Analytics)
Crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics)
Authentication tokens (via Firebase Authentication)
Dictionary content files (content only, not your usage data)

You acknowledge and agree that uninstalling the App from your device will delete all local game data, and that we cannot recover this data. You are responsible for ensuring cloud backup is enabled if you wish to preserve your active games progress across devices.

5. License and Intellectual Property

5.1 Limited License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.

5.2 Ownership

The App, including all content, features, functionality, source code, databases, software, designs, graphics, text, photographs, images, video, audio, and other materials (collectively, "Content"), is owned by Crowds Technologies LLC or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

5.3 Trademarks

PuzzWord, Crowds Technologies, and associated logos are trademarks or registered trademarks of Crowds Technologies LLC. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

22. Acknowledgment

BY DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, ACCESSING, OR USING THE APP, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS OF SERVICE.
