Crowds Technologies LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the PuzzWord mobile application (the "App"), available on iOS and Android platforms.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect
We collect several types of information to provide and improve our services.
1.1 Information You Provide
Account Information:
- We do not create or maintain separate user accounts
- Authentication is handled through third-party services (Game Center, Google Play Games, Firebase Authentication for anonymous sign-in)
- We may receive limited profile information from these services, such as user ID, display name, and profile picture, as permitted by those services and your privacy settings
Purchases:
- In-app purchase transaction information (handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
- Virtual currency (coins) balance and transaction history within the App
- We do not collect or store your payment card information (this is handled by Apple or Google)
Support Communications:
- If you contact us for customer support, we may collect your email address, name, and the content of your messages
- Support ticket history and correspondence
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
The following information is collected automatically when you use the App. Collection occurs both locally (by the App on your device) and remotely (by third-party services we integrate with).
1.2a Information Collected and Stored Locally by the App
The App collects and stores the following information on your device only (not transmitted to our servers):
Game Data:
- Game progress, scores, and statistics
- Virtual currency (coins) balance and transaction history
- Dictionary downloads
- Game modes, parameters and features used
- Completed puzzles and personal vocabulary
Local Device Information:
- Language and region settings (to display appropriate content)
- App version and build number
- Screen resolution and orientation (for UI rendering)
Note: This data is stored locally on your device. If you enable cloud backup through Game Center or Google Play Games Services, some of this data (active game state and coin ledger) may be backed up to iCloud or Google Drive by those platform services.
1.2b Information Collected by Third-Party Services
Third-party services we integrate with automatically collect information when you use the App. This data is transmitted to and stored on their servers (not ours):
Device and Technical Information (collected by Firebase Analytics, AdMob, Chartboost):
- Device type, model, and manufacturer
- Operating system and version
- Device identifiers (e.g., IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android, Firebase Instance ID)
- IP address
- Screen resolution and device capabilities
- Mobile network information
- Network connectivity status
Analytics and Performance Data (collected by Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics):
- App usage patterns and session frequency
- Time spent in the App
- In-app actions and events
- App version and build number
- Crash reports and error logs
- Performance metrics (load times, frame rates, memory usage)
Advertising Data (collected by AdMob and Chartboost):
- Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android)
- Ad views and interactions
- Device information for ad targeting
Gaming Platform Data (collected by Game Center and Google Play Games Services):
- Game Center or Google Play Games profile information (user ID, display name, avatar)
- Multiplayer game sessions and results
- Leaderboard rankings and scores
- Achievement progress
- Cloud save data (active game state and coin transaction ledger stored in iCloud or Google Drive)
- Friend lists (managed entirely by these platforms, not by us)
1.3 Information from Third-Party Services
We integrate with the following third-party services. Each service collects information as described in Section 1.2b above and processes it according to their own privacy policies:
Firebase Services (Google):
- Firebase Authentication: User IDs and authentication tokens
- Firebase Analytics: App usage and behavior analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics: Crash and error reports
- Firebase Cloud Storage: Dictionary downloads
- Firebase Remote Config: Feature configuration data
Advertising Networks:
- Google AdMob: Advertising ID, device information, ad interaction data
- Chartboost: Advertising ID, device information, ad performance data
- User Messaging Platform (for GDPR/CCPA consent management)
Social Platforms:
- Game Center (Apple): User ID, alias, achievements, leaderboards, saved games, multiplayer sessions
- Google Play Games: User ID, display name, achievements, leaderboards, saved games
Analytics:
- Google Analytics for Firebase: User behavior, demographics, and interests
1.4 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not require or collect email addresses unless you contact us for support
- We do not collect precise geolocation data
- We do not access your contacts, photos (except when you explicitly save a screenshot or screen recording), or other personal files
- We do not record audio except when you use voice input features (processed locally on your device)
- We do not collect sensitive personal information such as financial information, health data, or government-issued IDs
1.5 Where Your Data Is Stored
Important: We do not store your game data on our servers.
Local Storage:
- All game data, including your progress, statistics, virtual currency (coins), and transaction history, is stored locally on your device
- Your device is the primary and permanent storage location for all game-related data
Cloud Backup (Platform Services):
- iOS users: Active game state and coin transaction ledger can be temporarily backed up to your iCloud account through Game Center's saved games feature
- Android users: Active game state and coin transaction ledger can be temporarily backed up to your Google Drive through Google Play Games' saved games feature
- These backups allow you to synchronize your active game progress and coin balance across multiple devices logged into the same Game Center or Google Play Games account
- These backups are managed entirely by Apple (iCloud) or Google (Google Drive), not by us, and are subject to their respective privacy policies as well as quotas and limitations imposed by these platforms on your account
What We Store:
The only data we store on our servers relates to:
- Anonymous analytics data (via Firebase Analytics)
- Crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics)
- Authentication tokens (via Firebase Authentication)
- Dictionary content downloads (via Firebase Cloud Storage - content only, not user data)
- Remote configuration settings (non-personal data)
We do not store, access, or have copies of your game progress, scores, achievements, or virtual currency on our servers.
